Cutefeet Childcare is a place where children receive quality care in an environment that is safe, clean, and nurturing, with endless opportunities for learning through our programs. A place that not only fosters a child's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development, but takes it a step further by teaching the basics of discipline, respect and manners as well. A place that understands the stress of today's lifestyle and responds by opening early and staying open late – so parents have peace of mind!

Our facility is fully licensed and meets or exceeds provincial requirements to provide the highest level of quality and supervision.

Our owner is experienced and highly trained in childhood education, having a certificate from Fraser Valley University in Family Child Care. She also has a Masters in Psychology and specialization in Developmental, Abnormal & Industrial Psychology from India. She is also certified in first aid, CPR and food safety courses.

FACILITY

We have a large, bright playroom with an assortment of toys. Our facilities include a kitchen, a separate quiet nap room with individual mats for each kid, and a separate washroom for the children with individual towels for their use, so that they’ll feel comfortable while staying at daycare. We also have a large fenced grass backyard. Our facility is safe – equipped with smoke alarms, safety locks, fire extinguishers and emergency earthquake kits. Parks and playgrounds are also within walking distance.

What We Do

From arts and crafts to daily park trips, our daycare activities will impress you.

PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES

The primary goal of our development program is to nurture physical and cognitive skills. We also encourage creativity, as well as build self-esteem and good social skills through play, learning, and other activities.

Playing is an integral part of a child's development and also a natural means of communication between teachers and students. It will allow young children to further their knowledge, learn new skills, and practice current skills without risks.

LEARNING CENTRES

Our centres include the following:

House centre
Book centre
Listening centre
Puzzling centre
Board games
Sand centre
Building centre
Crafting
Painting
Coloring
Science centre

Children are allowed to choose any centre freely.

CIRCLE TIME

New concepts such as colors, numbers, names, shape recognition, and new words are introduced. The children are encouraged to participate in the group discussions, sing, and play games with the group. They also learn how to listen, wait their turn to talk, express opinions, and ask questions.

STORY TIME

Stories are read daily to promote interest in reading, listening, and comprehension.

DIRECTED ACTIVITIES

Every day, each child has the opportunity to do crafts, which may involve gluing, use of scissors, clay plaster, and other mediums that encourage creativity and development of fine motor skills.

Games, songs, and finger plays are introduced and repeated to promote language learning.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

The outside playground area of the centre is fully fenced. Children can only venture outside with direct supervision. We believe that a natural environment holds an important role in young children’s learning. We have a slide, water table, bikes, and other outdoor toys for kids to play with. Except during extreme weather conditions, we’ll walk outside to explore nearby parks and give children opportunities for concrete and authentic learning experiences about nature.

PARENTS’ INVOLVEMENT

Parents are welcome in the daycare to enrich the life and learning opportunities for all children. All parents receive all the policies and procedure regarding the program, activities, and other information.
