FAQs for Our Centre

  • 1. Q: What are your hours of operations?
A: Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Closed on statutory holidays including Easter Monday & Boxing Day.
  • 2. Q: I don’t see fees posted on your website, how much does it cost?
A: Our fees vary due to a variety of reasons. Our fees are accessible by inquiring via phone call or during visit at our childcare
  • 3. 1. Q: What if I’m interested but your childcare centre is full?
A: Occupancy is maintained at our childcare centre and we may tell you that we are currently full. You have the option to be put on our waitlist for the next available opening if you choose, but you will be asked to pay a non-refundable $50 registration fee.
  • 4. Q: Does your centre offer subsidy?
A: Yes, we allow for subsidy through the provincial government. All subsidy requests must go through the province and not through our centre.
  • 5. Q: I qualify for the subsidy from the government. Do I still need to pay any fees?
A: Depending upon the amount approved by the government, and based on your income and age of your child, you may have to pay the difference in approved amount and the monthly childcare fee.
  • 6. Q: Are you certified to be working with children and have you undergone background checks?
A: Yes, we have completed the requirements mandated by the provincial government in order to run the licensed daycare. We have received additional training and are certified by University of Fraser Valley. Also, we have undergone police background checks and are able to work with children. Furthermore, we hold certification in CPR and First Aid Training.
  • 7. Q: What is your policy on discipline and time outs?
A: We never use physical force to implement discipline onto a child. We also do not implement the use of time outs. We work together with the families to find alternative forms of reinforcing positive behaviour.
  • 8. Q: Does my child need to be potty trained in order to attend your centre?
A: This is a very common question and the answer is no! We help the families by assisting in the process of potty training.
  • 9. Q: When should I provide notice if I want to withdraw my child from your facility?
A: One month’s written notice is required when withdrawing a child from our childcare or one month’s fees are charged in lieu of notice. This allows our childcare centre the time to fill the vacancy.
  • 10. Q: When can I have a tour of the centre and fill out the application form?
A: Tours are set up at a convenient time once we know we have a space to offer. During the tour, we will discuss how our program operates, explain in detail the centre’s policies, give parents the opportunity to ask any questions they have, and provide all the necessary enrollment forms. Parents are encouraged to bring their child with them and should anticipate the tour to take approximately 1.5 hours.
  • 11. Q: What will happen if I am offered a child care space but I do not call back in the specified time frame to confirm my interest?
A: Unfortunately we will assume that you are not interested in the child care space; your name will be removed and the space will be offered to the next family.
  • 12. Q: What else do I need to know?
A: Please keep us informed about phone number changes. Occasionally we have a child care space available and are unable to give it to an interested parent because we are not able to reach them by telephone.
